The bombs has arrived!!!

At last, after 3 weeks with back and forth and the strangest customer support ever, they arrived. My 2 InPhase 1F capacitors. I thought they would be small, but they're NOT! They are big, heavy and look as bombs. My girlfriend got a bit scared... he-he.

Summer time an vacation...?!

It's summer and for most of the people in Norway, vacation time. But for me, 5 days of vacation and 5 days free from my shift work went to keep a little company running. It belongs to a freiend and previously working buddy. He had to go to a wedding and a media/ phone convention in Singapore, so to keep the business running I steped in.
But there have been time for some short trips around the country. First we went to Måløy, an island close just south of Vestkapp. I have a lot of relatives there and it's been far too long since I last visited them. The trip from Oslo we drove up to Gjøvik and then headed for Fagernes. From Fagernes we drove up to Beitostølen where we found a very nice camping hut for the night. We also had the chance to meet my cusine which lives there. We then drove on to Lom and Strynefjellet. At Grotli we got out of the regular route and went the old road to the glacier and Strynefjellet Summer Ski center. Check out http://www.strynefjellet.com/. From there the route went down to Stryn and out to Måløy.
In Måløy they had summerfestival. Not any big happenig, but there were som fun park carousels for the kids and a party tent for the adults, none we felt the urge to visit. Next day we headed out to Kråkenes fyr, an old lighthouse on the tip of the island. Here Jotun test their new painting against hard weather conditions. Pictures and informations is found at http://www.fyr.no/fyra/krakenes/krakenes3.html. I guess the pictures there tell how extreme the weather can be. Unfortunatly it was sun and quite nice when we visited the lighthouse. So we drove back to Refviksanden, probably one of the nicest beachs in Norway, to swim. It only became wading. The water was far to cold for any swimming :(
The trip home become far longer than planed. We drove to Hellesylt and went with the sightseeing fery through Geiranger. A trip I never done before. A guide for Geiranger you can find at http://www.visitnorddal.com/destinasjon/ From there we drove to Eidsdalen. A new fery over the fjord. Suddenly I see a sign to Tafjord, and some strange connection in my head say this is the place that is called Thaifjord, from the about 80 thai women who have married norwegian men. So we had drive by and look... To my huge dissapointment there were not a single sign of thai girls or women. I then thougt the story was fiction. Later I got to know it was not Tafjord that had become the nick Thaifjord, but Tresfjord, not very far from Tafjord. Well, the trip went on through Isterdalen and up to the top of Trollstigen, the path of the trolls, he-he. We drove down Trollstigen... very slowly, cause my old Saab don't have the best breaks in the world. They tend to get very hot on long downhill climbing. We had some breathtaking views. Cause of all the raining theis summer the waterfalls were as in the springtime. After Trollstigen we went on to see Trollveggen. In lack of avalible, good and reasonable sleping places, we then drove all the way through Gudbrandsdalen to Oslo.
